Blackberry Playbook in PH by August 6

Blackberry Playbook will become available in the Philippines by August 06. It is Blackberry's counterpart of the Apple's iPad. This first tablet computer from Blackberry will be available in Wi-fi models only, 3-G support will not be available, well, that's what the Blackberry phones are for.

Blackberry phone is successful on competing against the popular Apple iPhone in the Philippines and they are now ready to go head-to-head on tablets.

The PlayBook weighs less than a half a kilogram (425g) and is less than half an inch thick, sporting a 7-inch WSVGA capacitive LCD touch screen (1024 x 600). It supports Bluetooth 2.1, Adobe Flash, true multitasking, high definition (HD) multimedia, advanced security features, and out-of-the-box enterprise support.

Prices are P23,990 for 16GB PlayBook, P28,990 for the 32GB version, and P33,990 for the 64GB version.
