ELEVATOR TRICK

Click photo.

This is a very interesting trick but I haven't tried it yet though. Our office building has two floors only and we don't have an elevator, so I need your help to prove this.

This will be helpful for the people whose office or unit is located in the higher floors of the building.

You know, it's really annoying when the elevator stops on every floor when you needed to get to your destination asap, and ironically it happens when you have the least time! I wish I knew this trick before because it already happened to me several times when I was still in the Philippines.

For all buzzer beaters who come to work almost late, please try it and tell me if it's effective. Like this and leave a comment. ☺

The World's Tallest Building, SOON

Who says there is a global recession? Well, true enough for US and Europe, but here in saudi Arabia, that is a lie. This oil-rich kingdom is planning to construct a $20-billion worth building, the Kingdom Tower! It is a supertall skyscraper approved for construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be the centerpiece and first phase of a new development known as Kingdom City located along the Red Sea on the north side of Jeddah.

The building will stand over 0.62 miles (one kilometer) tall, which will allow it to overshadow the 2,717 ft. (828 m) Burj Khalifa in Dubai to claim the title of the world's tallest building.

Kingdom Tower will contain 59 elevators, some designed to travel 10 meters per second! Including 54

AWESOME PHOTOGRAPHY

I am a frustrated photographer. Ever since, I really wanted to study photography, but it is such an expensive hobby. I don't have the means yet. I hope in the future, when I already have that disposable income, I can pursue 'my' passion.

Make Your Stay Abroad Worthwhile

Living and working abroad is an interesting experience. You will meet a lot of other nationalities, you'll get to work with them, interact in a day-to-day basis. There are few things I learned to make my stay worthwhile.

 1. Start learning the local language.
For sure, it will be very hard, but at least make an effort to learn. It can be helpful to your job. It will help you communicate better to the locals. Once in a while, you will meet someone who doesn't speak English at all. Surf the net for some basic lessons and interact with native speakers. Learning a new language is fun.

2. Never Argue
If you are fond of arguing in your native land, leave that habit. You are in a foreign country, you don't want to be in trouble. Do not ever argue in any topic, think before you respond. If you think it can be offensive, keep it to yourself. Use your judgment. Arguing is only productive if you are in the congress, well, not even.

Internet Explorer is for Dumb Users, study suggests

I came up with this interesting and very controversial story on Yahoo about a study stating that if you are an Internet Explorer user, you are likely to have a lower IQ than those who uses Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Opera.

It is based on an online study participated by more than 100,000 people as conducted by AptiQuant Psychometric Consulting Co.

I remember when I was in first year college, I was told to do research on browsers. I was an IE user then. At that time, IE had the biggest share on

MEATLESS MONDAY!

I am happy that Dr. Custer Deocaris started the "Luntiang Lunes"campaign in the Philippines to align with the global "Meatless Monday" campaign.

The Philippines has one of the lowest vegetable consumption in Asia, and according to the news, despite of the high level of malnutrition among Filipino youths, Philippines has also become the 3rd fattest population next to Malaysia and Singapore.

Let us support this initiative. Embrace a healthier diet.

OLD MANILA

I received this in my email before and forwarded to most of my friends. Probably you've seen this already, but I just want to share it here in my blog for those who haven't. I saw this on a blog before, and I tried to search for it again but the photos are incomplete, some were deleted. Good thing, I have saved it in my email including the captions. Enjoy the beauty of the Old Manila, the Beautiful Manila.

How did I end up in Saudi Arabia?

I had some thought of going abroad for work last year after I got my passport, I just didn't expect how quick it did materialize. I began browsing the web for jobs abroad in February. I never wanted to go to a recruitment agency without any prior appointment, and take a chance that a job that suits my qualification is available. I wasn't serious about applying for an international job. My mindset was, if it'll come, it will come. After my vacation in Dumaguete, last March, I received a call from one of the recruitment agencies I applied online. They scheduled me for an interview that week. I showed up and I was told to wait for the employers decision. A week after, I was told to undergo medical examination as I passed the interview. I was shocked after I was told that my possible deployment will be in the next

This parrot can do more tricks than any other parrot can. I am so amazed how the trainer was able to have this cute little bird to follow his instructions. Two thumbs up for him and hands down to the parrot! This bird is more intelligent than my classmate...lol. Just watch, and be amazed!

Better than Havaianas?

In the Philippines there is too much craze on flip-flops. Havaianas became an instant hit, other brands popped like mushrooms. Ipanema, Sanuk, with the popular tagline "these are not shoes", and a lot more. Even the fake ones from Baclaran and Divisoria sold near LRT stations are very popular.

How about this one...will it become a hit in PHL? Introducing...
